For commuters to Belfast both the rail network and M1 motorway are within a few minutes drive away.
The town itself is well developed with a good range of shopping and leisure centres, churches and schools in the area as well as a hospital and library. The entertainment and cultural scene is also strong with an annual arts festivals, cafes, restaurants, a cinema and theatre including regular visits from the Ulster Orchestra.
Nearby Oxford Island includes the Discovery Centre and there is also Craigavon Lakes not far away; both idyllic retreats for bird watching, nature walks, painting and access to Lough Neagh; wonderful for the body and soul!
